Introduction of NIC Katni District Center
NIC District Centre, Katni was established in the January 2002 in newly formed district Katni of Madhya Pradesh in old collectorate building (now Tahsil office). In November 2002 DIC, has been shifted to new collectorate building along with collector’s office. District administration allotted two rooms of size 10’X16' and 20'X16' to DIC and then the actual establishment of VSAT and computer was completed. Since the starting NIC district center has helped the district administration with devotion. DIC katni has promoted IT culture in the district by giving training and did automation of various manual activities of various sections in the district office. DIC has provided total IT support in various events like Drought relief work, General elections, local election and flood relief work.
Achievements
Starting from one computer with dialup internet connection in one 10’X10’ room in January 2002, now DIC Katni has very strong IT infrastructure comprising of DirecWay VSAT for round the clock internet availability. DIC Katni has been appreciated by District Administration for its valuable support in mass activities of District Administration. DIC katni has been enriched by Video Conferencing in the year 2004 in continuation of strengthening of NICNET. Since the establishment of DIC has provided total IT solution to the district administration upto the satisfaction and need.
Major Activities
DIC katni has supported Jila Panchayat katni and established internal LAN. DIC has also given training to Janpad panchayat officials along with internet connectivity through DIC katni
DIC has worked out for esatablishment of internal LAN in new collectorate building and also providing technical support to district administration.
DIC katni has made district website, and updation are being done based on the content provided by district administration.
DIC is providing email sending and receiving facility to various district offices where internet is not available, And also serves the E-mails received in collector's and DIO's accounts for various departments.
The other activities and project implemented are, Basic facility monitoring system( PARAKH), ICDS WCD monthly reports, Agmarknet for Krashi Upaj Mandi, Time Limit Papers Monitoring at collectorate, Payroll software, PDS scheme of Food, online web based project Gramin Sachivalaya, technical support to land records computerization, BPL survey
NIC, DIC Katni offers services in various areas of System analysis, design and development of the software, providing Technical coordination for software and hardware requirements, as well as web designing, development and hosting.
