Water filled in natural pools, Lord Bholenath seated in the cave, unique natural scenery all around and Emperor Ashoka’s inscriptions in the middle of all this, all this is present in Rupnath Dham, a historical place in Bahoriband tehsil of the district. This place, a centre of archaeological importance and faith of the people, is full of unique mysteries in itself. There are different discussions about three pools built one above the other on the rocks of the hill, a cave built between the huge stones and Emperor Ashoka’s inscriptions. It is said that till 232 BC, Emperor Ashoka Maurya (Emperor Ashoka) of the powerful Indian Maurya dynasty stayed in Rupnath, located near the small town of Bahoriband in the district. His stay and stay in Rupnath Dham, along with many useful inscriptions and the constructions done through him still give evidence of his stay. Rupnath Dham has a Panchlingi Shiva idol, which is known as Rupnath. It is located at one end of the Kaimor hills. The lowest pond in the hill is Sita Kund, the middle is Lakshman Kund and the topmost is Lord Ram’s pond. As per the priests of Roopnath Dham, it is believed that Lord Bholenath went to Jageshwar Dham Bandakpur from here.
