“There is a Gupta-era temple in Tigwan –
Tigwan, located in the Bahoriband tehsil, is a historic place. It is known for its exquisite stone carvings. There is also a temple of Goddess Kankali here. The Kankali Devi temple is small and dates back to the Gupta period, built around the 5th century. In front of it is a pavilion (mandap), which features various artistic carvings. Statues of Lord Vishnu are engraved on the walls. The Tigwan Kankali Devi temple is situated about 5 kilometers from Bahoriband tehsil and is under the protection of the Archaeological Department.”
