Sankatmochan Temple of Muhans

Sankatmochan Hanuman Temple Muhans situated in Rithi tehsil of the district has been a symbol of faith and belief of people for years along with religious tourism. Its distance is 35 km from the district headquarters. Located on the Katni-Damoh road, Sankatmochan Temple has been a symbol of people’s faith for about 40 years. People come here from all over the country. There is a belief here that broken bones are healed with the herb found in the temple. Even though science does not believe this, people coming here have been believing this for years. The foundation stone for the construction of Muhans temple was laid in the year 1984 with the cooperation of the villagers and the construction of the temple was completed in July 1986. After that, other facilities including Dharamshala were expanded for the devotees coming to the temple premises. Earlier, Panda Aadhari Lal Patel used to give herb to the people coming from the small temple and farm. After his death, his son Sarman Patel is doing this service.
